Modification of a maritime gear on an Atlantik 488

Presently at MET GmbH. we are running preparations for the fourth modification of a maritime gear unit. The current project deals with an Atlantik 488 series factory vessel built in Volkswerft Stralsund.

The operations include a new layout of the gear set to withstand higher rotational speeds and the increased load of the newly integrated main engine, the mechanical production of the new gears and sprockets, as well as guided assembly during the removal of the old and the installation of the new gear set.
