Repair of an engine block

In early March, the MET GmbH has successfully completed the repair of the engine block of a main engine on the ferry “Vilnius” of AB DFDS Lisco.

Through the use of a new technology developed by MET and certified by Lloyds Register, cracks were repaired in engine blocks within the cylinder liner, avoiding an otherwise necessary time and cost intensive replacement of the engine block.
